In Lincolnwood, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Illinois on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. It is a really decent place. I do believe it must be Jewish owned for mostly the Jewish community. And it has one benefit other than some other places. A speed of making a Pizza and quantity of pizzas. You can order. I've seen people going out with 10 pizzas. Multiple such orders in a period of half an hour like certain nights. I know they're like extremely busy. I would imagine to coincide with the end of Jewish holiday at night and they must literally on that night sell 500 pizzas It's an interesting place. No place to dine in. It's a pickup and take out place. Only deliveries made by I would imagine uber and doordash

Just had the Detroit-style pizza from Rocket Slice and WOW. This is what Detroit pizza should be. The crust is perfect -thick, airy inside with that signature crispy, cheesy frico edge that’s basically crack. Sauce on top is bright and tangy, not too sweet. Cheese goes all the way to the edge and gets caramelized into the pan. If you know Detroit pizza, you know. If you don’t, this is the place to try it. Already planning my next order. 10/10.

Update: they refunded my order due to the confusion. Going to give them another try soon . Thanks! Review written 12/17/2025. They couldn’t find my online order and it wasn’t ready even though online Toast ordering system said the order was ready. Also they couldn’t understand my name and made me show it on screen and repeat it many times. Evidently I have a very confusing name. Lol. Pizza was sitting lukewarm in display with congealed cheese. Not fresh Then they tried to make me show proof of the “delivery” or uber or DoorDash etc order and I explained it’s my own order, not for anyone else

Was craving some pizza and found this spot nearby in Lincolnwood having just finished running a chore. It was late and I was famished and crazing a NY slice so I was excited to try this and being late at 10:15pm, more than appreciative their being opened and available for my specific craving. Had some trouble coming in and parking, but that was my fault since I’m unfamiliar with the layout of the buildings and township. No biggie. It was def a cold night that night and was hoping to have a quick sit down dinner of a slice or two and a drink before heading out again and their sign outside did say “pizza by the slice”. Arriving inside, at approx 10:25pm or so, it looked like the staff were in the process of breaking down and cleaning up. I was hoping to dine-in as well, but the restaurant is set up for carry out only. No biggie, these were my own expectations and I adapt well so I’m fine with eating in my car. And it’s late so I don’t fault them for breaking down either. All are fine in my book. The attendant approached me and greeted me to take my order. I asked for any available slices, seeing as their rotating pizza displace case was empty, and was told only two slices were lef

This is where you go If you’re craving a slice in Lincolnwood. There are other places nearby that have good pizza (some well known), but Rocket Slice delivers on flavor and quality ingredients in a more satisfying bite. My first visit, I tried the deep dish and the Margherita which is done in a Napoli style and I enjoyed both. My second visit, I tried the grandma slice and I had to get another! I’ll most likely return until I’ve tried everything they offer, but my food rating is currently a 4.6/5 based on what I’ve tasted. My rating for the environment is 2.4/5 simply for the fact that it’s so packed in there with boxes and supplies that you can’t enjoy your slice at the counter.
